Seminar Structure

While this online seminar will be delivered in an asynchronous manner, allowing you to work through the materials each week at your own pace, participants will be expected to complete each module according to an established seminar schedule that will be communicated to each registered participant prior to the seminar’s start. The seminar will consist of 3 required modules, plus 1 optional module, for a total of four modules. Each module will last 3 weeks, with one extra week to catch up on any materials, for a total seminar length of thirteen weeks (September 2 – December 2, 2023). Each module is estimated to require approximately 20 hours of time to complete, or 6-7 hours per week. At the end of each module, there will be a 90-minute live session where participants will have the opportunity to connect and engage with their peers and instructors on topics related to the content of the recently completed module. There will also be two 2-hour meetings, one to launch the seminar and one to finalize the seminar. Participants will be expected to review all seminar content and meaningfully participate in all assignments and reflections in order to graduate from this seminar and receive their certificate from Colorado State University’s Center for Protected Area Management.
