SUPER Mentor Application

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A SUPER MENTOR?
WE VALUE MENTORSHIP IN DIVERSE AREAS OF STUDY!

Mentors will be recruited during the fall semester of each academic year. However, you may submit an application now! There is a bit of competition to be matched with a student, and the actual pairings are a bit of a science. Please make your research project description as exciting and as detailed as possible. It is okay for projects to be student-driven, and to not have research questions identified.

We are looking for mentors whose research is related to ecology. However, research can be as varied as soils studies, analyzing videotaped wildlife behavior, mapping of trans-boundary conservation policies, or human dimensions qualitative research. Once students are matched with mentors, they will create an annotated bibliography on the topic of their study in the fall semester, and will perform the research in the spring semester. Final projects must be completed by the second week of April for presentation at CSU’s annual Celebrate Undergraduate Research and Creativity (CURC) Symposium, hosting undergraduate research posters and culminating in an awards ceremony that recognizes all participants and honors award winners from every discipline!
