Attention All CSU students:
Win $1000 for Filming and Sharing Your Nature Videos!
If you’re a Colorado State University student inspired by outdoor beauty and adventures, this announcement is for you!
After a successful launch in Spring 2023, the Student Nature Vids is back for its second straight year – offering all CSU students a chance to win $1000 for their creativity and love for nature.
How do you participate? Just create a nature-related video and share it in the submission section on the Student Nature Vids website. Each video should align with one of these three categories:
- Adventure
- Natural Wonder
- Comedy
You can work individually or as a group to share as many original nature videos as you want on the website from now until January 31, 2024. Videos can contain either edited or raw footage, but each submission must be under 3 minutes in length and under 2GB. Additional submission guidelines can be found on the website.
In April 2024, after a selection process with neutral judges, a viewing event will be held to showcase the top submissions from students and to announce a grand prize winner of $1,000 for each category (three different grand prize winners total).
“I’m so jazzed that the Student Nature Vids competition was a success last spring, and even more excited that we are continuing the event for the 2023-24 scholastic year,” HDNR professor David Knight said. “The fun challenge really puts the ball in the students’ court to express their creativity and skills without teacher input. Additionally, the goal is to bring all CSU students together to highlight their love for nature.”
