We are excited to offer a three year Natural Resource Tourism degree program for students who wish to make steady progress towards their next big adventure.

This degree prepares students for natural resource related tourism positions in the private, public, and non-profit sectors.

Typically accelerated students take 15-16 credits each fall and spring semester for three years, plus 6-9 credits over three summers. Students who enter CSU with prior credit (AP, IB, transfer, etc.), may apply relevant courses to further accelerate their graduation. This includes students who began at a two-year Colorado institution following a CSU Transfer Guide.

The curriculum prepares students to adventure for a lifetime by emphasizing courses in tourism management, marketing and planning, natural resources, tourism business, and social sciences to develop appropriate skills for managing and owning recreation and tourism enterprises. This includes, but is not limited to, managing resorts, tour companies, outfitting and guiding companies, major corporations, ecotourism companies, cruise lines, state travel and tourism offices, national and international tourism offices, travel and tourism bureaus, hotel and lodging associations, meeting planner groups, and ski/tour associations.
