E-CAMP

E-CAMP is our program for students in grades 6-8! We go on outdoor adventures and explore nature; it’s all about learning and hanging out with friends and peers. E-CAMP runs in the summer, fall and spring; each section is a little different, scroll down for a full description of each program. Each session focuses on positive experiences in nature, building community and learning about the natural world around us.

Has your child aged out of E-CAMP? Check out our Counselor-in-Training summer program for youth ages 13-17 years old!

Summer 2022

July 25-29, 8:30am-4:30pm

Ages: open to students entering 6th-8th grade in fall 2022

Join us for another year of our middle school summer camp, E-CAMP!

This camp aims to connect youth entering grades 6-8 to the natural world through learner-led inquiry, hands-on and active exploration and fun in a community of peers.

This is the perfect camp for students who are interested in wildlife, the environment, and want to take action to protect and restore the natural areas they love. Each day campers will explore the Environmental Learning Center, recording wildlife observations and learning about the ELC’s four distinct ecosystems.

To expand our study of ecosystems we will either take fun day trips to various natural areas in Fort Collins or we will take an overnight trip to the CSU Mountain Campus. We will watch the public health guidance and make a decision by mid-May regarding day trips versus overnight trip.

Either way, we’ll learn what keeps the environment healthy and how interactions between all living things helps our natural areas thrive. Campers will practice being good stewards of the environment by taking action in a hands-on ecological restoration project with Wildlands Restoration Volunteers.

There is still space available in E-CAMP! Registration for E-CAMP is now open on a first come, first served basis. Click here to register.

Health and Safety

The safety of our campers and staff is our highest priority. Leading up to the start of camp we will create summer camp protocols that carefully follow the most recent public health guidelines. All our protocols are subject to approval by Colorado State University, which works closely with county and state public health officials to ensure that university policies are in compliance.

Because of the dynamic nature of the pandemic, we will release our specific COVID-19 protocols to parents one week prior to the start of summer camp.

Location and Schedule

Drop off for camp begins at 8:30am and all children must be picked up by 4:30pm each day.

Drop off and pick up for each day of camp will take place at our East Drake site.

Cost for the week of E-CAMP is $125 per child for ELC members and $135 for non-members. All scholarship funds for 2022 have been allocated.
