Land Management Volunteers

Note: All volunteer events scheduled for spring 2020 have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are not taking requests for volunteer groups at this time. For more information about Colorado State University’s response to COVID-19, please click here.

The ELC is dependent on volunteers in many capacities. We can work closely with you to arrange a volunteer day for your group that meets your needs as well as those of the ELC. Individual volunteers can help us on Service Saturdays or Carpe Diem. Our volunteer projects range from the very creative to the very dirty. Read on to learn how to get involved.

Group Service Projects

Does your organization need a place to fulfill a service commitment? We’re happy to have you! Contact us ahead of time to arrange a date and time. Please note that our spring schedule books up early; the earlier the better on reserving a time for your group!

Individual Volunteers

Individual volunteers can help out in several ways:

Service Saturdays – Generally held on the last Saturday of each month from September thru March (not including December), 9am-12pm. The projects vary and can include trail work, gardening, invasive weed management and other tasks. Check our calendar for upcoming volunteer events.

Carpe Diem – Our biggest volunteer event, usually held on the second or third Saturday in April. Projects vary each year, but can include building new structures, painting existing structures, habitat restoration, and more.

Sign up for our volunteer email list. We will send out regular emails with reminders about upcoming service events.
