The ELC is dependent on volunteers in many capacities. We can work closely with you to arrange a volunteer day for your group that meets your needs as well as those of the ELC. Individual volunteers can help us on Service Saturdays or Carpe Diem. Our volunteer projects range from the very creative to the very dirty. Read on to learn how to get involved.
Group Service Projects
Does your organization need a place to fulfill a service commitment? We’re happy to have you! Contact us ahead of time to arrange a date and time. Please note that our spring schedule books up early; the earlier the better on reserving a time for your group!
Individual Volunteers
Individual volunteers can help out in several ways:
Friday Afternoon Club – Held every Friday afternoon in September and October at 4-6pm. Volunteers will primarily work in our garden, weeding and harvesting. Check our calendar for upcoming volunteer events. Please RSVP by email or phone if you plan to attend Friday Afternoon Club.
Service Saturdays – Generally held on the last Saturday of each month from September thru March (not including December), 9am-12pm. The projects vary and can include trail work, gardening, invasive weed management and other tasks. Check our calendar for upcoming volunteer events. Please RSVP by email or phone if you plan to attend Service Saturday.
CSUnity – We invite our individual volunteers to join CSUnity volunteers in helping out at the ELC. Projects vary each year, but can include building new structures, painting existing structures, habitat restoration, and more. This year’s event will take place on Sunday, April 23 from 12-4pm. Please RSVP by email or phone.
Sign up for our volunteer email list. We will send out regular emails with reminders about upcoming service events.
