Dear ELC supporters,

First and foremost, we hope that you and your loved ones are healthy and well.

As part of Colorado State University, we are following guidance from the University in regards to cancelling or postponing our public events. As of March 23, all University operations have gone virtual and online.  In-person, CSU-hosted events scheduled through the end of the spring semester are being cancelled or postponed. Following this directive, the Environmental Learning Center has cancelled all our educational and volunteer events scheduled through mid-May. If you have questions or would like more information about CSU’s response to COVID-19, please check the CSU Safety webpage.

Our trails remain open and we encourage you to visit and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. We hope your visits are peaceful and restorative. You can find information to plan your visit here.

We urge all visitors to follow guidelines from local and national authorities regarding group size and physical distance. Please check the following websites for the most up to date information: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Larimer County Health Department and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

Even though our events and programs are cancelled, we still want to support outdoor learning. We have created some fun activities to do at home with your family. And check out our Facebook page starting on March 23 for a Daily Nature Challenge!

We know that many of you are facing unprecedented challenges, and we want to do what we can to support our members and volunteers, who have so generously supported us over the years.

Take care of yourselves and each other.

Be well,

The ELC Team
