The Department of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability is home to the Watershed-Ecosystem Science and Sustainability (WESS) Club, which offers students opportunities to develop leadership skills, expand their professional networks, engage in volunteer work, and collaborate on impactful projects. Past events have included documentary screenings, restoration initiatives, highway clean-ups in Poudre Canyon, fundraisers, and more.

Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (oSTEM), Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional association for LGBTQ people in the STEM community. With almost 90 student chapters at colleges/universities and professional chapters in cities across the United States and abroad, oSTEM is the largest chapter-based organization focused on LGBTQ people in STEM.

We are a student-led group enthusiastic about reducing waste on campus and in our personal lives, through outreach and education. We host waste diversion and up-cycling events such as home football, volleyball, and basketball games, craft nights, and potlucks. We hope to spread knowledge about proper waste management practices, in order to create a culture of zero waste on campus and throughout our community. We also work directly with the University to improve waste infrastructure, with a focus on compost collection.
