About Becca

Becca Harris is a botanist and ecologist with the Colorado Natural Heritage Program, where she leads efforts to survey and document rare plants and native plant communities across Colorado’s Western Slope. She holds a B.A. in Environmental and Political Science from Tulane University and an M.S. in Ecology from Colorado State University, where her research focused on the impacts of novel restoration treatments on native plant diversity and seed establishment. Becca is passionate about conserving Colorado’s botanical heritage. Outside of work, she finds moments of wonder in nature and enjoys running, backpacking, skiing, climbing, biking and photography.
