About John

John is a wildlife ecologist with experience in terrestrial zoology including invertebrates. John has 30+ years of experience performing field inventories and wildlife monitoring John's scholarly background has focused on applied ecology, primarily related to wildlife ecology, conservation, and rare species management. John’s current interests include studying the effects of wildfire on the ecological of the rare Pawnee montane skipper butterfly and the conservation of rare wildlife. He has been with the Colorado Natural Heritage Program at CSU since 1999.
