About William

I was born in Denver, CO, and grew up in Albuquerque, NM. I have been fascinated by forests since an early age. Since receiving a PhD degree in 1979, I have worked as a faculty member at Eastern Kentucky University, Fort Lewis College (Colorado), and CSU. I continue to study the ecological role of fires and other disturbance processes in forests of the Rocky Mountains and elsewhere.
