Warner RLCs support first-year students in the college through professional leadership development in natural resources. Students select a leadership theme in one of two tracks: Outdoor Leadership or Sustainability Leadership. Beyond theme-based leadership development, Learning Community students have opportunities to connect their academic and social learning within the residence hall setting in Summit Hall with the goal of an enriched living experience for all participants. First-year students majoring in any one of Warner’s major programs or Exploratory Studies in Environmental and Natural Resources are eligible to apply!

In the Fall semester, the program offers first-year students linked enrollment in several 100-level natural resources courses aligned with their chosen track, as well as CO 150: College Composition. Students participate in professional development experiences to expand their knowledge and skills and take part in career exploration in their chosen fields of study. All Warner College RLC students have early room selection privileges. They participate in Ram Welcome programming in Fall semester at the CSU Environmental Learning Center and in Spring semester programming that includes participation in the Banff Mountain Film Festival at CSU.
