Hands-on Field Work Throughout Colorado

The Colorado Natural Heritage Program provides competitive volunteer/internship opportunities. These positions are available throughout the year, and time commitments range from several weeks to entire semesters. Volunteer/Interns work alongside senior staff, and provide critical support in the field and in the office. We strive to provide our volunteer/interns with a valuable, hands-on learning experience. We welcome applicants with interests in conservation planning, GIS, ecology, botany, zoology, web design, conservation data services, data management, and environmental communication. Paid and unpaid internships are available, as well as course credits from Colorado State University. View our current listings for details.
