About Vinamra
Vinamra brings over a decade of professional experience working on issues at the intersection of forest conservation and policy, with expertise spanning forest governance, ecosystem services evaluation, and advocacy for the rights of Indigenous Peoples and frontline communities. Previously serving as the Asia Pacific Regional Director at Youth4Nature, he advanced youth advocacy and capacity building on the climate-nature nexus within global conventions such as the CBD and UNFCCC. Before joining CNHP, Vinamra worked for the Nature for Development Program at UNDP, focusing on forest monitoring and mapping for Indigenous communities. He is in the final stages of finishing his Ph.D. in Sustainability Science from the University of Tokyo. He holds a Master's in Environmental Governance with a Specialization in Biodiversity from the United Nations University in Tokyo and a Bachelor's in Environmental Science from the University of Manchester.
