About Jacqie

After living an itinerant life in a military family, Jacqie Hasan came to Colorado to attend college and decided to put down roots. She has earned an M.Ed in Agency Counseling and an M.A. in History from CSU. After working as a substance abuse counselor, in-home therapist for Larimer County, program manager for a foster care facility, and DUI educator, she made a career change and became manager of the largest independent bookstore in Fort Collins. Currently she puts her training and experience to use as an Academic Support Coordinator and Academic Advisor to both the undergraduates of the Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism Department and the graduate students of the Master of Tourism Management degree. She can speak German, read Russian, get by in most other Latin and Germanic based languages, and travels as much as she can in order to experience as much of the world as possible. When not working or traveling, she enjoys reading, playing hockey, and yoga practice.
