About Tim

Tim Schommer is a communications and graphic design professional with over 22 years of experience helping non-profits and companies build their brands and reach their audiences through strategic messaging, data visualization and design. Timothy received his undergraduate degree in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin – Stout in 2002. Following graduation, he honed his illustration and graphic design abilities at several companies, both big and small, throughout Wisconsin, including Oshkosh B’Gosh. In 2007, Timothy joined the US Peace Corps, where he served as a Visual Arts instructor at a School for the Deaf in Ghana, West Africa. After completing his Peace Corps service in 2009, he acquired his Master’s Degree in International Development from the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies. Upon graduation from DU in 2012 , Timothy joined One Earth Future (OEF), an international non-profit based in Broomfield, Colorado. OEF is an incubator of innovative peacebuilding programs that designs, tests and partners to scale programs that work hand-in-hand with communities to eliminate the root causes of conflict. While at OEF, he served as Communications Manager, supporting OEF’s various programmatic efforts in Colorado, Somalia, Colombia, Vienna and Washington D.C. As Communications Director for Colorado State University's Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands (CEMML), Tim oversees all of the unit's internal and external communications efforts.
