Valeria currently works as the Development Coordinator for The Alliance Center in Denver, Colorado.   As the development coordinator for The Alliance Center, Valeria’s job responsibilities include three main areas of outreach, grant procurement, and fundraising.  She is in charge of outreach to The Alliance Center’s major donors, corporate partners, and foundation contacts. Their donors and supporters are what keep the organization running and make all of their sustainability initiatives possible. In Valeria’s role in grant procurement, she supports and cultivates the grants process by assisting with the grant search and application process. Valeria also assists in the planning and execution of fundraising events, which are pivotal in bringing people together and fostering a community of change agents.

Valeria loves her job because every day she gets to work on new projects and campaigns, and she gets to talk to people about sustainability every day. She gets to develop the capital needed for major sustainability initiatives to take place. All the skills Warner has instilled in her, she uses in her job every day, with the goal to ultimately better the planet.
