After graduating with a Master’s degree in Watershed Science, Adam Pierce has continued his career path in the field of hydrology and hydraulics engineering. He currently works for DOWL Engineering in Billings, Montana where he is a Watershed Hydrologist working on various water resource projects throughout Montana and North Dakota. Typical duties include hydrologic evaluations for design flows, hydraulic evaluations of existing capacities for stormwater and riverine facilities, design and selection of replacement of culvert/bridge sizes, floodway analysis and mapping, water quality evaluations, and developing hydrologic and hydraulic drainage/design reports. He recently completed the evaluation and design of 2.7 miles of storm drain facilities, 35 roadway culverts, and the design/selection of a replacement bridge over Stony Creek for a 4.0 mile roadway reconstruction project in Williston, North Dakota.
