About Ryan

My research focus is on evidence-based and market-based conservation. My overall research interest includes exploring alternative markets and livelihoods that support natural resource management for communities in developing countries. Specifically, I am interested in analyzing payment for ecosystem service mechanisms, ecotourism initiatives, and community-based conservation. I have work and research experience in Central and South America, but am interested in expanding my knowledge and skills to other cultures and places.
