About Bella

Isabella (Bella) Oleksy is an aquatic ecologist and biogeochemist who is investigating the effects of global change on mountain lakes. Specifically, Bella is interested in how algal function and structure is shifting in alpine and subalpine lakes in response to multiple drivers (e.g., nitrogen deposition, dust from land use change and fires, nutrient inputs from changing cryosphere) that are a result of both climate change and human-altered biogeochemical cycles.
