About Anna Clare
As a systems thinker and synthesizer of ideas, an entrepreneur and grower of food, a musician and scientist, a mother and world traveler, Anna Clare is a life-long student of nature who thrives in interdisciplinary environments. She has a knack for creating community and networks of people for a common purpose. The current confluence of her interests involves pursuing a PhD in the department of Ecosystem Science and Sustainability at Colorado State. Her research seeks to disentangle the social-ecological dynamics of collaborative grazing management on government-owned conservation lands on Colorado’s Northern Front Range. She approaches her work through the lens of systems ecology and an interdisciplinary background in animal sciences, psychological counseling, the arts, and humanities. Anna Clare and her husband operate a mini ranch, where they pasture-raise lamb, beef, and pork. She also enjoys assisting other folks in developing sustainable, regenerative farming and ranching practices at Graze LLC. She appreciates not only talking the “talk,” but walking the “walk” and being a work-in-progress example for the things she loves and promotes.
