About Sam
My research applies genetic/genomic and ecological tools to address conservation questions, primarily for native fishes. I enjoy working closely with management agencies to generate on-the-ground impacts and improvements for the organisms that I focus on. My dissertation will focus largely on genetic rescue for Colorado's state fish, the greenback cutthroat trout (Oncorhynchus virginalis stomias). I am also a student in the Graduate Degree Program in Ecology, and am supported by the Simons Foundation Fellowship in Ecology and Evolution. Thank you for visiting my page, please feel free to reach out!
