What the industry therefore needs is motivated, educated, hard-working individuals who understand the specific challenges and opportunities of ski area operations and are committed to developing a career in some of the most beautiful alpine environments in the world.
This program consists of six graduate-level courses that can be completed in a manner that best suits your employment and living situation. Each course is an eight-week accelerated program of study focused specifically on key areas of knowledge for successful ski area management, as identified by current industry experts within the ski industry. This includes a focus on sustainable ski area practices, strategic management and marketing, resort planning and design considerations, ski area finance and investment, ski area operations, and human resource management. Upon completion of these six courses, students will receive a transcripted Graduate Certificate in Ski Area Management from the Department of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources, Colorado State University.
