Nikki Seymour Receives VPR Fellowship

Nikki Seymour, a geosciences PhD graduate student, represented the Warner College of Natural Resources last February in the Vice President for Research Fellowship 3 Minute Challenge.

Graduate students quickly shared their research, while judges from across the university scored on criteria associated with the content, comprehension, effective engagement and communication skills. Nikki’s presentation was entitled: “Sharing the Strain: Slip History of the Atacama Fault System, northern Chile”.

Out of the 35 participants only 14 were invited to become the 2017-18 VPR Fellowship cohort. Fellows will receive $4,000 in scholarship and travel support as well as opportunities for professional development workshops, mentorship, leadership and engagement opportunities over the next academic year.

Congratulations to Nikki in achieving this award!
