I recently defended my Ph.D. in Ecology studying urban black bear ecology and human-bear interactions and conflicts at the Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology at Colorado State University.  I enjoy applying quantitative methods in ecology to wildlife conservation issues in order to find management solutions.  My research interests are varied and include spatial ecology, individual-based modeling, dynamic modeling, animal behavior, carnivore ecology, conservation biology, and human dimensions of wildlife management.  I enjoy traveling the world exploring new ecosystems and cultures.  I am addicted to R.
