Individual Covariate Names
To provide for ease of use, individual covariates are given names or labels to help the user enter them in the design matrix, or otherwise identify these covariates. Keep the names short to make entry in the design matrix simple, but informative enough so that you will remember what the variable is. The maximum length of a individual covariate name is 10 characters. Names are converted to upper case, so case of the entry is not important. The following characters should not be used in individual covariate names: colon, semi-colon, comma, equals, left or right parens, slash, less than, or greater than.
