Driving to Colorado:

Approaching Fort Collins on I-25 from either north or south, take Exit 269 (hwy 14), and head west about 5 miles into town. This road becomes Mulberry St. You will soon come to College Ave. There is a Safeway Store on the NE corner. Turn left (south), and go to Laurel St.  Make a right (head west) on Laurel St.  In only a few blocks you will come to Howes, where you turn left into the CSU campus. Bear to the right, and make the gentle right turn into the parking areas. You may want to drive through the first small lot and park in the big one. The Physics Department entrance is in Wing D of the engineering building, next to the large white liquid nitrogen tank.  The physics office is in Ar 124. 

 

From Denver International Airport:

AIRPORT EXPRESS runs from DIA to both the Marriott Hotel and the University Park Holiday Inn in Fort Collins.  The loading area is at the 5th Level (Baggage Claim Area).  The shuttle picks up on the East side of the airport at exit door #505, pickup island 4, and on the West side of the airport at exit door #50, pickup island 4.

You can make reservations at Airport Express by calling (970) 482-0505. The price for a roundtrip ticket is $30, and $16 one way.

There is also DOOR TO DOOR SERVICE by SHAMROCK AIRPORT SHUTTLE . It leaves DIA West Door 504, Traffic Island 3, the first time 6:30 AM and DIA East Door 505, Traffic Island 3 at 6:40 AM, and every hour after this first run till 11:30 PM (WEST) and 11:40 PM (EAST) RESERVATION: (970) 686-9999 PRICE: $ 21 one way

For both bus and shuttle service the prices are from January 10, 2000.

Although reservations are not strictly necessary we would recommend you make them anyway to assure yourself a seat.  Please be sure to also let them know where you will need to be dropped off as different shuttles go to different places.  A reservation for the return trip can be made at the same time.

 

by automobile:

The map below shows the most straightforward way to get to I25 North from DIA.

After leaving the airport tollbooths, you will be on Peņa Blvd. Follow  Peņa Blvd. west (toward the mountains) to Tower Road.  Head north (right) on Tower Road. Go several miles north to 104th Ave. and head west (left). Now it's  ~10 miles to I-25, where you will head north to Fort Collins.
