About 100 friends and admirers joined David and his family at the Cottonwood Club in Fort Collins recently for a celebration of his exceptional career.  After a wonderful dinner folks were treated to a multimedia show entitled "A Presentation with 
Pictures in Poor Taste" MC'd by the venerable Dr. Gary White with performances by Bev Klein, Alan Franklin, Len and Jan Carpenter, Dave Otis, Barry Noon, Ken Burnham, Ken Wilson, Eric Bergersen and others.  A special treat was rare video footage from a biometrics workshop uncovered by Eric Rexstad, Steve Buckland and Len Thomas.

Dr. Anderson's phenomenal achievements include:
over 140 journal publications and book chapters and 15 books and research monographs.  His work has made an indelible mark on the fields of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology and statistics with 6,212 citations of his work as of April 24, 2003. His awards and honors from universities and  agencies are too numerous to list here. The Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology will be basking in the glory that David brought to us for many years to come- thank you David.
