Graduate Courses

My primary graduate course was team taught with Dr. Gary C. White -- FW-663 "Sampling and Analysis of Vertebrate Populations." This course was offered in even-numbered years and was the only 5 credit hour course in the College and perhaps the most demanding graduate course in the Department. In odd-numbered years I offered several special graduate courses (2 credit hours):

  • Information Theory and Statistical Model Selection
  • Data-Based Decision Making (with Dr. White)
  • Multivariate Statistics in Habitat Analysis
  • Design of Wildlife Studies (with Dr. Burnham)
  • Stochastic Dynamic Programming in Behavioral Ecology (with 3 other faculty members, 3 credit hours)
  • The Endangered Species Act (with 3 weeks spent on "Science in the Courtroom").
