We have several upcoming events this semester to get students involved! Some events have scheduled dates and set plans, and others are an evolving work in progress. Check the schedule and events page often to stay up to date.

Greenhouse work days this week!

  • October 23 11:00am-Noon. Plant Growth Facilities greenhouse to prepare for Saturday's plant sale. We'll be prettying our plants for sale by removing dead leaves, pulling moss and weeds from the pots, wiping down pot exteriors, and ensuring proper labeling. With 4-5 people, we should be able to wrap it up in ~ 1 hour.
  • October 24th 10:00am-Noon

  • Plant Sale at the Larimer County Farmers' Market October 25th, 7:30am-2:00pm. 200 South Oak Street, Fort Collins
The Fall plant sale is one of our fundraiser opportunities for the club. We have leftover trees and shrubs that need to find a home, and we have a space at the Farmer’s Market on the 25th to sell our natives. This sale is a good opportunity to learn about native Colorado trees and shrubs, and also a time to share this knowledge with residents of Fort Collins. If you would like to help with the plant sale please send an email to our President, Anita, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The society for ecological restoration CSU student chapter is one of the first student chapters of the international professional organization, http://www.ser.org.

Our student chapter works with local and regional restoration professionals as well as non-profit organizations to raise ecological knowledge and pair students with proper mentors. This year we will be hosting student mentor mixers both locally and at conferences regionally. We also host a plant sale to educate the public on the importance of native plants and to raise money for student participation in local conferences.

We encourage both graduates and undergraduate participation.
