Human Dimensions of Natural Resources
Our department recently added Global Tourism to the undergraduate program which allows students to take course work in business, tourism and natural resources. Our programs facilitate cross-cultural experience by requiring foreign language, study at a university abroad, and an international internship.

Course Offerings
Students apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom in a variety of field experiences unmatched by any program in the country. Among the courses offered are:

Courses Taught by HDNR Faculty
Courses are grouped in the categories of Overview/Theory; Tourism; Park and Protected Area Management; Planning and Administration; and Research Methods.
Other Natural Resources Courses
Other Natural Resources courses are offered by WCNR that fulfill the requirements of the four concentrations.
Pingree Park
Undergraduate students with majors in fishery biology, forestry, natural resource management, rangeland ecology, and wildlife biology are required to attend a four-week summer session (NR220) at Pingree Park, typically in the summer between their Sophmore and Junior years.
Partners with Professionals Internship Program
All undergraduate Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism majors are required to take a 1-credit internship preparation course, followed by a 4 or 5-credit, 400 hour, multifaceted professional internship.Internship & Job Listings

CSU Wildlands Course / Manejo de Areas Protegidas
This course is an intensive 34-day long, field based course for participants from all over Latin America that is co-hosted by CSU and the U.S. Forest Service International Programs Office
