Academic Interests:
My primary research interest is physical hydrology from an integrated perspective, trying to link our understanding of hydrologic processes in the subsurface, land surface, and atmosphere.  My work involves developing strategies for collecting informative field measurements and combining those measurements effectively with physically-based hydrologic process models.  I am drawn to arid, semi-arid, and alpine regions, particularly those with dynamic connections between water and energy fluxes in the subsurface, surface, and atmosphere.  My research is oriented toward understanding those dynamic connections and on incorporating a comprehensive hydrologic process understanding into watershed management strategies.
