Proposed Department Reorganization

The Departments of Forest, Rangeland and Watershed Stewardship (FRWS) and Human Dimensions of Natural Resources (HDNR) are proposing reorganization and would welcome your comment on our ideas.

We propose

  1. Establishing an interdisciplinary Department called Natural Resources Conservation (NRC) that will house our emphasis in environmental communication, forestry, parks and protected area management, range, recreation and tourism, and watershed and
  2. Creating a Department titled Ecosystem Sciences and Sustainability (ESS) that will concentrate our expertise in the biological aspects of ecosystem science.
