SPRING 2010: CSU's spring break (Sunday March 14 to Thursday March 18) east of Salt Lake City, Utah
SPRING 2011:
The course may be held in the Spanish Pyrenees Mountains in late March or early April 2011.
SPRING 2009:
The course was offered from March 15-19, 2007 (Sunday-Thursday) in the mountains near Dubois in Northwest Wyoming. We staying at a cabin
bordering the Shoshone National Forest, and did our fieldwork at Togwotee Pass.

The last day of the trip was a day at Jackson Hole ski area and dinner at Snake River.
SPRING 2008:
The course was offered from March 15-18, 2007 (Saturday-Tuesday) in the mountains just south of Telluride, Colorado. We stayed in a beautiful house in Rico (VRBO #53330).

The trip was capped off by a day at Telluride .
SPRING 2007:
The course was offered from March 10-13, 2007 (Saturday-Tuesday) in the Valles Caldera of New Mexico. This year we rejoined Paul Brooks and the University of Arizona.
The lecture were presented before the trip in two days:
day 1 in the NR building, and
day 2 at Avo's.

SPRING 2006: The course was offered from March 12-16, 2006 (Sunday-Thursday) along Cement Creek near Crested Butte, Colorado. We stayed at the Pioneer Guest Cabins (Gothic Cabin), were assisted by Jeffrey Deems of CSU. Some of the field exercises are shown in pictures.
SPRING 2005: The course was offered from March 12-16, 2005 (Saturday-Wednesday) near Clark, Colorado (29 miles north of Steamboat Springs, Colorado). We stayed at the Columbine Cabins, which gave us easy access to Hahn's Peak. Some of the field exercises are shown in pictures.
SPRING 2004: The course was offered from March 14-18, 2004 (Sunday-Thursday) in Silverton, Colorado. We stayed at the St. Paul's Lodge, and were assisted by Chris Landry of the Center For Snow and Avalanche Studies and Jeffrey Deems of CSU. Some of the field exercises are shown in pictures.
SPRING 2003: The course was offered from March 14-18, 2003 in Fraser, Colorado by Paul Brooks of the University of Arizona, Kaye Brubaker of the University of Maryland, and Steven Fassnacht of Colorado State University. Fieldwork was undertaken at Fraser Experimental Forest, and near Berthoud Pass. Some of the field exercises are shown in pictures.
SPRING 2002: The course was offered from March 13-17, 2002 in South Fork, Colorado by Paul Brooks of the University of Arizona, and Steven Fassnacht of Colorado State University, with assistance of Noah Molotch of the University of Arizona. Fieldwork was undertaken in part at Wolf Creek Ski Area, and near the Upper San Juan SNOTEL site. Some of the field exercises are shown in pictures.
