Colluvial Hollows:
the upstream-most portion of channel networks, where persistent, channelized surface flow begins. These channels are equally influenced by colluvial (e.g., debris flows) and fluvial processes, and actual channel geometry may be poorly defined. We arbitrarily define these as occurring only above the lower limit of Pleistocene valley glaciation and in a band of terrain located within 0.3 km2 of the drainage divide.
